Update Regarding 2021-22 Season

Apr 14, 2021

Dear Friends,

The absence of in-person concerts over the last year has created a profound void for us all. We speak for the full Board and Staff of Shriver Hall Concert Series when we say that we miss you enormously, and we are intensely grateful for your kind notes of encouragement and support over these difficult months.

Looking ahead to next season, we are hopeful that we will be able to return to in-person concerts, and we have an extraordinary slate of artists and programs planned! We are in close communication with The Johns Hopkins University, owner of Shriver Hall, about what size and types of events they will permit in Shriver Hall. At the moment, JHU is not authorizing any gatherings of 10+ people for the fall.

We are committed to resuming the presentation of outstanding, in-person concerts where we can assure the safety of both patrons and musicians. To that end, we are also exploring the viability of other venues and hybrid options. We will be emailing you in the coming weeks with a survey about what will make you feel most comfortable about returning.

Like you, we are eager to return to the joy of sharing live performance in the concert hall. As details of next fall are finalized, you will be the very first to know!

In the meanwhile, we have a number of exciting programs in the coming weeks!
• Sun, Apr 11, 5:30pm Jennifer Koh, violin
• Tue, Apr 13, 5:30pm Music & Citizenship: Collective Identities—FREE!
• Tue, Apr 20, 5:30pm Music & Citizenship: Democracy in Theory and Practice—FREE!
• Sat, Apr 24, 3pm Tabea Debus, recorder & Alon Sariel, lute and mandolin—FREE!

We are always eager to hear from you. Please contact us at either (410) 516-7164 or info@shriverconcerts.org with any questions or comments. Thank you for being part of our wonderful community!

With warmest wishes,
