Volunteers are a vital part of our Shriver Hall Concert Series community. Through their dedication, they help carry out our mission of bringing world class chamber music to Baltimore. Volunteers serve as ambassadors of SHCS and ensure that all patrons have an excellent experience at each performance.

Volunteer roles and duties include ushering at events and occasional administrative support. The time, support, dedication of our Volunteers help to enhance and maintain the patron experience of world class performances on our stage and make our series possible.

Benefits include:

  • 2 complimentary tickets after ushering at least 3 concerts
  • For those Volunteers who are active for at least 10 hours a season will be entitled to $6 off any ticket purchase for themselves or their friends and families
  • Insider access: Volunteers have the option to watch each concert they usher from inside the Hall.

PROSPECTIVE VOLUNTEERS: All prospective volunteers must submit a Volunteer Application. Applications must be submitted prior to training.  All personal information is held in strict confidence. Please email volunteers@shriverconcerts.org with any questions or for more information. 

**Please note that all SHCS ushers must be vaccinated against COVID-19**

The number of volunteers needed for each performance is limited. If you have an emergency or need to make a schedule change less than three days prior to a performance, please call the SHCS offices at 410.516.7164.
