SHCS Receives Generous Surprise Funds from The William G. Baker, Jr. Memorial Fund

Posted by: Zoe Fried

Earlier this month SHCS recieved a generous surprise Annual Fund grant from the The William G. Baker, Jr. Memorial Fund following the completion of the 18-month rennovation of Shriver Hall.

Philanthropic support is vital to non-profit arts organizations, and we are truly grateful for The William G. Baker, Jr. Memorial Fund’s funding for SHCS this season. The Foundation’s support enables us to continue our dual mission of presenting world-class artists at affordable ticket prices on our Subscription Series and up-and-coming musicians on our free Discovery Series, sharing exceptional concerts with Baltimore audiences who might not have other opportunities to experience them.

The William G. Baker, Jr. Memorial Fund commits its resources to enhance the region's economy and quality of life by making investments in arts and culture. Its grants support artistic and cultural organizations and their partners through initiatives that enhance an individual’s sense of self and pleasure and make Baltimore a more attractive place to live and work.
