Since Leon Fleisher made his 1944 Carnegie Hall debut with the New York Philharmonic under Pierre Monteux, his contributions to classical music as pianist, conductor, and teacher have been immeasurable. Join us in celebrating the 80th birthday of a legend. A screening of the recent Academy Award-nominated Two Hands will be followed with four-hand compositions by Dvorak, Ravel, and Schubert performed with former students Jonathan Biss, Yefim Bronfman, and Katherine Jacobson Fleisher.
