The Tokyo String Quartet has captivated audiences and critics since it was founded nearly forty years ago. Regarded as one of the supreme chamber ensembles of the world, the Tokyo Quartet has collaborated with a remarkable array of artists and composers, built a comprehensive catalog of critically acclaimed recordings, and established a distinguished teaching record. RETURNING to the Series after more than a decade, the Quartet will close the 2010-11 season with a performance of the Brahms Piano Quintet with Baltimore’s own legendary pianist Leon Fleisher.
