Award-winning cellist Gautier Capuçon has taken the international music world by storm with his recital, orchestral, and chamber music performances around the globe since winning the Victoires de la Musique as “New Talent of the Year” in 2001. Venezuelan pianist Gabriela Montero’s visionary interpretations and unique improvisational gifts have won
her a quickly expanding audience and devoted following around the world.
When Capuçon and Montero met in Lugano, under the aegis of Martha Argerich, a great friendship and an exciting musical partnership were born. They meet here in a program of works for cello and piano by Prokofiev, Mendelssohn, and Grieg.
